In case you are wondering why we do not list a Beginner set of books on Technical Analysis, it’s because there are really not any beginner books that are worth reading. In fact, most general books on technical analysis, aside from the great classics, are relatively useless regurgitations of ideas better explained elsewhere.
The books below represent some of the very best books on the subject from the Golden Age of Technical Analysis. Most of them were found and preserved by Donald Mack then the best were selected by Dr. Jerome Baumring as required reading for all of his students of Gann Analysis, since many of the principles in these great classics are quite valuable for all serious analysts.
Gann himself pulled sections from Cole’s book, Graphs & Their Application to Speculation, for his own courses, and Baumring also uses sections from some of these classics to illustrate key concepts in his own courses. We have a much larger list of the great classic works in our Category Listing for Technical Analysis, all of which are excellent and were recommended by Baumring. This first list of absolute Classics is fundamental and should not be missed by any serious analyst!
Following that, the advanced list includes some of our very best works on the subject, mostly by modern authors, but also some of the deeper old classics by the great masters. Generally, these represent more thorough courses including proprietary trading techniques that are the most advanced and powerful of any of those available anywhere today.
