Dr. Goulden, a Cambridge educated scholar, takes an individualistic approach to market analysis, focusing on deep principles and exploring trading techniques based on foundational systems.
This deep, many layered approach provides non-correlated confirmation of Gann from different angles, such as financial astrology based on ancient systems.
Gann gave much attention to grain markets, and in particular Wheat, Corn and Soybeans. Gann had a Wheat chart back to 65 BC, which Baumring took back to 1200 BC.
Long historical data made Wheat a premier market to study long term cycles, and grain markets depend on weather, a secondary phenomenon which Gann also studied and analyzed.
A quick insight into general conditions of the market can be had by synthesizing combinations of data as simple indicators giving an overview.
Such indicators are often based on diverse data, from astrological signals, like Scott's Astronomical Market Barometer or Bradleyís Siderograph, to whether a specific market is overbought or oversold.
Gann Reading List
In the 1940ís Gann published a 2-page list of about 90 Books that he stocked and sold to his students, known as "W. D. Gannís Recommended Reading List".
Each book contains some component of Gannís system of knowledge essential for piecing together his system.
Any one book may have one simple idea critical to Gann's perspective.
In Ancient times, art was more than a form of entertainment or decoration, being a means of preserving various forms and levels of knowledge, including scientific principles.
A core element is called "The Canon", whereby through ratio, proportion, shape and symbolism, an entire system of universal knowledge can be encoded and preserved.
Cosmology provides the primary basis for our theoretical system of market order and scientific analysis. Moving beyond modern ideas, our approach to Cosmology involves Pythagorean, Esoteric, Eastern, and Ancient metaphysical theories of cosmology.
Our ICE collection focuses on ancient concepts as well as modern alternative theories of the universe.
Eric Penicka: Gann Science
The author correlates Gann’s exact words to the science of Gann’s day to illustrate his phrase “stocks are like atoms”. Offering a system of “mathematical points of force” governing the structure through which the market moves, the emerging science of Periodic Table atomic elements provides a system of order through which to forecast.
W.D. Gann Works
We stock the complete collection of the works of W.D. Gann.
His private courses represent the most important of his writings, going into much greater detail than the public book series. Our 6 Volume set of Gann’s Collected Writings includes supplementary rare source materials, and is the most reliable compliation of Gann’s unadulterated vital work.
Dr. Jerome Baumring
The work of Dr. Baumring is the core inspiration upon which this entire website is based. Baumring is the only known modern person to have cracked the code behind WD Gannís system of trading and market order.
Baumring found and elaborated the system of scientific cosmology at the root of Gannís Law of Vibration.
There is no other Gann teaching that gets close to the depth of Baumringís work.
Cosmological Economics in Theory & Practice
The Creation of Two Institutes Sacred Science & Cosmological Economics
As the catalog developed through the years, it became evident that there were two very different sets of clientele with fundamentally different and sometimes conflicting orientations: the financial analysts and the scientific and esoteric researchers. While many Gann based researchers were deeply engaged in esoteric studies, other mainstream financial analysts we put off by the esoteric material represented by the Sacred Science Institute.
Similarly, many scientific and esoteric scholars were put off but the strong orientation towards financial market analysis, a subject they considered to be an overly materialistic application of scientific and esoteric wisdom. It was therefore decided that it was due time for a split of these two segments of clientele, giving each its own website and institute, representing its more specialized focus.
The Birth of The Institute for Cosmological Economics
The Institute of Cosmological Economics was initially formed in 2008 to take over the publication and representation of the financial segment of the Sacred Science catalog, publishing the works of the old masters, Dr. Baumring’s courses, and the line of new books and proprietary trading courses written by the group of modern authors specializing in advanced financial market analysis and trading.
The primary mission of the Institute of Cosmological Economics is to continue the work of Dr. Baumring and of W. D. Gann by engaging in and promoting ongoing research into the field of Cosmological Economics and the Law of Vibration, developing new technologies and publications based upon this cutting edge economic theory. Seen from our perspective, financial markets are fundamentally influenced by natural and mathematical laws. With a deeper understanding of the synergistic interrelatedness of universal elements and mass social patterns, a more integrated scientific tradition will be born, capable of producing technologies far in advance of those known today.
We consider Cosmological Economics to be a scientific study with deep historical roots, yet situated at the cutting edge of such fields as physics, philosophy, psychology, cosmology and Unified Field Theory. It is a subject which brings together the mechanistic elements of modern physics with the biological, psychological and consciousness principles normally excluded in the physical and cosmological theories of the modern scientific establishment.
This unification establishes a system of order and interconnectedness between disconnected universal phenomena, something common in ancient scientific and philosophical traditions, but lost in the mechanistic materialism of today. It brings principles of order and causation into a system considered by the mainstream to be totally random or chaotic.
Contemporary Models and Technologies for Timeless Principles
The activities of ICE are focused upon promoting and inspiring research that provides evidence to support these theories and to bring them to a wider public appreciation. This is done through the development of models and technology based upon these principles which establish order where others see only randomness. If one can produce a scientific or mathematical explanation that provides predictions which prove to be accurate, and which define the ordering process behind a complex system that was previously considered to be random, such as Chaos Theory and non-linear dynamics have done within natural science, then these theories can be demonstrated, if not at least to be true, then at worst to be highly useful approximations of some even deeper theory.
Since professional market analysts are generally not scientists, they are far more interested in practical usefulness than ultimate theoretical proof. The fact is that over 150 years the financial and economic principles of technical analysis, cycle theory, market geometry and Gann analysis have produced the best market models and most successful financial forecasters and traders of any tradition out there.
Without considering what this means for scientific and cosmological theory, from a practical standpoint for investors and traders, these techniques provide the most advanced and valuable tools for professionals engaged in navigating the financial markets. It is our long term goal and mission to develop and elaborate the scientific principles behind these theories, as well as provide the best resources, tools and technologies to apply this information for use in the real world.
Cosmological Economics, the Key focus of this website, has its origins in Gannís Law of Vibration, interpreted and extended by the work of Dr. Jerome Baumring.
Scientific phenomena are seen as a basis of correlation and causation underlying the financial market, indicating a symbiotic relationship between Cosmic forces and reactions on Earth.
The Golden Age of Technical Analysis extended from 1910 through 1960, when the greatest analysts lived and developed foundational principles.
Dr. Baumring selected the best works for his students, believing it best to study from the great masters.
Books by masters of the past have as much value for students today as they did back in their own day.
The two fundamental elements of reality are space and time, and of the markets price and time.
Gann always said that Time is the most important variable.
If you know exactly WHEN to place your trades, when the market will turn, top, bottom, react or breakout, you will be able to trade or invest with great precision.
Baumring Reading List
Dr. Baumring's reading lists were very comprehensive, covering all areas of the markets, sciences and metaphysical fields.
Baumring was an intensive scholar who read 1800 words a minute and had a photographic memory, thus extendinghis scope.
Baumring's 10,000 volume library included around 500 books which he saw as core information.
Swing Trading works with short to intermediate term swings, usually with time periods from a few days to weeks, following a general changing trend and trading in each direction.
Most systems consider position reversal, and try to trade short and long as the market changes direction.
Gann taught swing trading first, with its relatively easy methodology.
Baumring Science List
In the 1980ís Dr. Jerome Baumring, created an advanced course on the scientific cosmological system behind Gannís Law of Vibration, including over 100 important works.
These ranged from core works that Gann himself studied relating to Natural Science and Philosophy, to valuable works in alternative or lesser known scientific traditions.
A branch of Chaos Theory, fractals are beautiful self-similar patterns mathematically generated from non-linear equations.
Fractals apply directly to financial market phenomena, and time-periodic market charts show that similar patterns permeate each time level.
Gann and Baumring saw common patterns foreshadowing coming events within consistent structure.
In the 1700-1800ís Natural Philosophers studied a wide range of scientific subjects, while not overly specializing in narrow and limited fields as scientists do today.
WD Gann espoused this more holistic system of science, where the different branches were more easily integrated and the grand vision of the scientific system was more interlinked.
